Terms of Use

Last updated: 28 October 2026

These terms apply to the Ritora app for iPhone and to this website. Ritora is made and run by Denys Solonyna, a sole proprietor (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Ritora.

1. Apple’s standard terms

You get Ritora from the App Store, so Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”) applies to your use of the app. These terms add to it; where the two differ, the Standard EULA governs your licence to the app. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and is not a party to these terms.

2. Your account

3. Free use and Premium

Ritora is free to start: your first plan and its first day, and a few word sets a week. Premium opens every day of your plans, new plans, conversations, most ready-made sets and more sets each day. Premium has daily limits that keep the service fair and affordable (for example, on new plans and generated sets). What exactly is free and what is Premium is shown in the app before you pay.

4. Lessons are made by AI

Your plans, lessons, explanations, conversation partner and word sets are generated with the help of artificial intelligence and checked by automated rules. They are made to help you prepare and practise, but they can contain mistakes — a wrong word, an unnatural phrase, an inaccurate fact. Please treat them accordingly:

5. Your content

What you write or say to Ritora — your goals, your answers, the words you add — stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the app for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. If you share a word set with someone by code, you let them use that set in their own account.

6. What you may not do

If an account breaks these rules, we may limit or close it. Where we can, we will tell you why first.

7. Our content

The app, its design, its texts, voices and ready-made sets belong to us or to those who licensed them to us. Photos come from Pexels and belong to their authors. You may use all of it inside Ritora for your own learning.

8. Availability

We work to keep Ritora running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Some features need an internet connection. We may change, add or remove features as the app develops.

9. Liability

Ritora is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for decisions made on the basis of AI-generated content. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law that applies to you, or liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Before a significant change takes effect, we will let you know by email to the address of your account. If you keep using Ritora after that, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can delete your account and cancel the subscription.
